Job summary

Expatiate Communication, Inc. is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist Assistant to provide educational speech therapy to students under the supervision of an SLP.

You will support IEP implementation, assist with assessments, and help students use AAC devices, with travel to school sites across California and some virtual work from Los Angeles. The role includes documenting progress toward IEP goals and providing platform support on VillageED and iTAAP.

Qualifications

• Registered SLP-A with the California Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology Board is required.
• High school diploma or equivalent plus an accredited SLP-A program certificate.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Assist students in using Augmentative and Alternative Communication devices and software.
• Document progress toward IEP goals and objectives.
• Assist the SLP during assessments and screenings.
• Adapt instructional materials for classroom use.
• Travel to school sites across California, including Pasadena for meetings.

Job description

We are seeking a Speech Language Pathologist Assistant to provide educational speech therapy services to students with speech-language disorders and impairments. You will work under the supervision of a Speech Language Pathologist to implement Individual Education Programs (IEPs), assist with assessments, and support students with alternative communication devices. This role involves travel to school sites and providing support on proprietary company platforms such as VillageED and iTAAP.

Work Setting: School-Based

Location: Virtual and On-site (Los Angeles, CA)

Employment Type: Per-Diem (Variable)

Pay Range: $30.00 - $42.00 per hour DOE

What You’ll Do

• Assist in preparing and helping students use augmented alternative communication devices and software.
• Document student progress toward IEP goals and objectives.
• Assist the SLP during student assessments and screenings.
• Adapt and modify instructional materials for teachers to use in the classroom.
• Travel to school sites across California and occasionally to our Pasadena, CA, for corporate meetings.
• Provide client support on VillageED and iTAAP platforms.

What You Bring

• Valid registration as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant with the California Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology Board.
• High school diploma or equivalent, and a certificate of completion from an accredited Speech-Language Pathology Assistant’s program.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office or similar software.
