Insight Global is seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to support students in a charter school setting in Aurora, Colorado. The SLPA will work under the supervision of a licensed SLP to help students improve communication, language, articulation, social communication, and related skills that support academic success and daily functioning.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology Assistant studies.
• Active Colorado SLP-A license or eligibility for licensure.
• Experience working with children in educational, clinical, or pediatric settings.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team; K-12 experience.
• Knowledge of special education processes and IEPs.
• Experience with diverse student populations and varying communication needs.

Responsibilities

• Implement speech and language treatment plans developed by a licensed SLP.
• Provide individual and small-group therapy sessions to students with communication disorders.
• Assist students with articulation, language development, fluency and social communication goals.
• Document student progress, collect therapy data, and maintain records.
• Prepare therapy materials and assist with classroom-based interventions.
• Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, administrators, and families.
• Monitor student performance and communicate observations to the supervising SLP.
• Support compliance with IEP goals and special education requirements.
• Participate in team meetings and professional development activities.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to regulations.

Skills and Requirements

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology Assistant studies, Communication Sciences and Disorders, or a related field.

• Active Colorado Speech-Language Pathology Assistant license or eligibility for licensure.

• Experience working with children in educational, clinical, or pediatric settings.

• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.

• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team. – Previous experience supporting students in a K-12 school setting.

• Knowledge of special education processes and Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
