Job summary

Memorial Health System seeks a Speech-Language Pathologist to provide evaluative and rehabilitative services for communicatively impaired individuals. You will perform evaluations, deliver therapy, document thoroughly, and collaborate with a care team to optimize patient outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or equivalent with state licensure.
  • Must obtain CCC-SLP within 12 months of start date.
  • BLS certification required.
  • Maintain compliance with RQI.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills are essential.

Responsibilities

  • Performs comprehensive speech-language pathology evaluations.
  • Provides therapy using evidence-based modalities in a safe, effective manner.

Job description

In an environment of continuous quality improvement, the Speech-Language Pathologist is responsible for providing evaluative and rehabilitative services for communicatively impaired individuals. Exhibits the MHS Standards of Excellence and exercises strict confidentiality at all times.Job Functions:Completes therapy evaluations based on diagnostic and prognostic testing methods.Independently provides treatment modalities and techniques in a safe and effective manner according to departmental policy and procedures.Demonstrates effective teaching skills.Completes documentation in a thorough and professional manner and in accordance with all policies, procedures, and in compliance with ACHC standards.Collaborates with other providers to facilitate the optimal outcome for each patient.Assumes all other duties and responsibilities as necessary.Minimum Education/Experience Required:Master of Science or Arts in Speech Language Pathology or dual certification with licensure in the State of Ohio, or if working in West Virginia, a West Virginia license is required.Must obtain Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech Pathology by The American Speech, Language and Hearing Association within 12 months of start date and maintain throughout employment.BLS certification required.Maintain compliance in RQI.Special Knowledge, Skills, Training:Position requires leadership qualities, excellent interpersonal, organizational, and business skills.Must be self-motivated and decisive.Compensation Details: Education, experience, and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended.Benefits: Memorial Health System is proud to offer an affordable, comprehensive benefit package to all full time and flex time employees.
