  • Provide information and support to parents and families when appropriate.
  • Provide in-service education and serve as a consultant to teachers and school staff on topics concerning speech, language and hearing as needed.
  • Maintain thorough ongoing records for the individual student receiving therapy or other school-provided speech/language services.
  • Assist in proper referrals of individuals to agencies and specialists in the community as appropriate.
  • Provide screening to identify speech/language disabled students at regular intervals including kindergarten screening.
