Qualifications

• Master’s degree or higher in Speech‑Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Active Texas license to practice as a Speech‑Language Pathologist.
• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC‑SLP).
• Bilingual skills preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate needs by conducting comprehensive speech-language evaluations.
• Communicate findings clearly with parents and district staff.
• Collaborate with ARD committee to design evidence-based interventions.
• Deliver therapy or supervise SLP Assistants to implement IEP goals.
• Maintain progress notes and adjust interventions based on data.
• Participate in ARD meetings and parent conferences to advocate for students.

Your Role:

• Provide Therapy: Deliver therapy services directly or supervise Speech‑Language Pathology Assistants in implementing IEP goals.
• Monitor Progress: Maintain accurate, detailed records of student progress and use data to adjust interventions as needed.
• Support Team: Participate in ARD meetings, parent conferences, and other relevant discussions to advocate for and support students’ special education programs.
