Job summary

Rehabilitation Center of Sandalwood in Wheat Ridge, CO is seeking a full-time Speech-Language Pathologist to support our in-house rehab program. You will screen, evaluate, and treat patients with communication and swallowing disorders to promote recovery and independence.

Open to SLPs at all experience levels; new grads are welcome. We offer a comprehensive benefits package and a collaborative care environment in a post-acute facility.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Conduct effective screening and evaluation of patients with communication and swallowing concerns and develop care plans.
• Deliver rehabilitative, skilled therapy to patients in accordance with clinical standards.
• Assist with standing/walking and necessary repositioning during treatment as needed.
• Administer procedures as part of the rehabilitation plan, including therapeutic exercises and modalities.
• Provide counseling to patients and families regarding communication and swallowing disorders.
• Generate discharge summaries ensuring regulatory and clinical compliance.

SPEECH-LANGUGAGE PATHOLOGIST - FULL TIME

REHABILITATION CENTER OF SANDALWOOD - WHEAT RIDGE, CO

Rehabilitation Center of Sandalwood in Wheat Ridge, CO, is a post-acute care facility with long-term care, short-term care, and geriatric services provided. We can offer a stable and fun in-house therapy team to work with as well as excellent programs serving our geriatric clientele in their journey to recovery. We are currently seeking a dedicated Full Time Speech-Language Pathologist for our in-house rehab program.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct effective screening and evaluation of patients with physical functioning disorders and/or wound care, developing appropriate care plans adhering to regulatory and clinical standards.
• Deliver rehabilitative, skilled, and medically necessary treatment interventions to patients with physical functioning disorders and/or wound care, in accordance with regulatory and clinical practice requirements.
• The role involves regular standing and walking throughout the facility and occasional lifting, transferring, and repositioning of patients and equipment. Physical demands vary throughout the day based on patient care needs.
• Administer various procedures as part of the rehabilitation plan, including manual techniques, ambulation, therapeutic exercises, modalities, use of supportive and assistive devices, and wound care.
• Provide consultation and counseling to patients, families, caregivers, and other service providers regarding physical disorders.
• Generate comprehensive discharge summaries of services provided, ensuring compliance with regulatory and clinical requirements.
