Job summary

The Grand at Great Neck is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist to join our compassionate team. You will evaluate residents, develop personalized treatment plans, and collaborate with interdisciplinary staff to promote communication and quality of life.

Requirements include graduation from an accredited Speech Therapy Program and a valid New York State SLP license. Prior experience is preferred but not required.

• Current New York State Speech Language Pathologist License.
• Experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assess residents' speech and language needs and develop personalized treatment plans.
• Design activities that help residents improve independence in their daily activities.
• Monitor progress and adjust treatments as necessary, and prepare detailed progress reports.
• Assist in the rehabilitation of residents affected by injury, illness, or other conditions.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and supportive environment for residents and staff.
• Maintain resident confidentiality and secure handling of information.
• Keep accurate and up-to-date records of resident care and progress, auditing department records as necessary.
• Work closely with healthcare teams to contribute to a cooperative and supportive team environment.

• Confidentiality: Maintain resident confidence by ensuring the secure handling of confidential information.
• Documentation: Keep accurate and up-to-date records of resident care and progress, auditing department records as necessary.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with healthcare teams to contribute to a cooperative and supportive team environment.

Requirements
