Job summary

Central Park Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in New York is seeking a dedicated Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to support residents with speech and language needs and to design personalized treatment plans.

You will evaluate residents, select meaningful activities, monitor progress, document care, maintain confidentiality, and collaborate with the health care team in a safe environment, with a per‑diem schedule offering $55-$70 per hour.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Speech Therapy Program.
• Current New York State Speech Language Pathologist License.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate residents' speech and language needs and develop personalized treatment plans.
• Design activities that help residents improve independence in daily activities.
• Observe and assess resident performance, adjust treatments, and prepare progress reports.
• Assist in rehabilitation of residents affected by injury, illness, or other conditions.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and ensure confidentiality of resident information.
• Keep accurate records of resident care and progress and audit department records as necessary.
• Work closely with healthcare teams to contribute to a cooperative team environment.

• Rehabilitation Support: Assist in the rehabilitation of residents affected by injury, illness, or other conditions
• Maintain a Safe Environment: Ensure a clean, safe, and supportive environment for residents and staff
• Confidentiality: Maintain resident confidence by ensuring the secure handling of confidential information
• Documentation: Keep accurate and up-to-date records of resident care and progress, auditing department records as necessary
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with healthcare teams to contribute to a cooperative and supportive team environment

Requirements
