Job summary

River Bend Healthcare in Seguin, TX is seeking a PRN Speech-Language Pathologist for its in-house rehab program. The role includes screening, evaluation, treatment for speech, language, cognitive and swallowing disorders, and discharge planning, within a geriatric post-acute setting.

Responsibilities

• Screen and evaluate patients with communication, cognitive, or swallowing disorders and develop care plans.

• Evaluate treatment outcomes and adjust services as needed.
• Provide counseling to patients, families, and caregivers about speech disorders.
• Generate and complete discharge summaries per regulatory and clinical requirements.

At River Bend Healthcare in Seguin, TX, is a post-acute care facility with long-term care, short-term care, and geriatric services provided. We can offer a stable and fun in-house therapy team to work with as well as excellent programs serving our geriatric clientele in their journey to recovery. We are currently seeking a PRN Speech-Language Pathologist for our in-house rehab program!

Key Responsibilities

• Screen and evaluate patients with communication, cognitive, or swallowing disorders, developing appropriate care plans following regulatory and clinical standards.
• Deliver rehabilitative treatment to patients with communication, cognitive, and/or swallowing disorders, ensuring compliance with regulatory and clinical practice requirements.
• Evaluate treatment outcomes, modifying services based on patient evaluation and making referrals as needed.
• Provide consultation and counseling to patients, families, caregivers, and other service providers related to speech disorders.
• Generate comprehensive discharge summaries in adherence to regulatory and clinical requirements.

Qualifications

Speech-Language Pathologist license is required.

This position is open to SLPs at all experience levels.
