Job summary

River Hills Health & Rehab in Kerrville, TX seeks a Full Time Speech-Language Pathologist to join our in-house therapy team and expand rehabilitation programs, including cognition, ACP, and wound care. You will develop and implement patient-specific therapies and care plans.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Screen and evaluate patients with physical functioning issues to create care plans.
• Deliver rehabilitative treatments for patients with physical functioning disorders.
• Assist with standing/walking, lifting, transferring as part of daily care.
• Administer rehabilitation procedures including manual techniques and wound care.
• Provide counseling to patients, families, and caregivers about physical disorders.
• Create discharge summaries complying with regulatory and clinical standards.

Our Texas market is excited to announce our growth in the Kerrville area! We are currently seeking a Full Time Speech-Language Pathologist to join our crew of in-house therapists at River Hills Health & Rehab and help us expand therapy programming to include Abilities Care (cognition), ACP programs, Big and Loud and wound care. As a therapy professional, you will have the freedom to create and implement additional programs to best meet the needs of the patients in this facility.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct effective screening and evaluation of patients with physical functioning disorders and/or wound care, developing appropriate care plans adhering to regulatory and clinical standards.
• Deliver rehabilitative, skilled, and medically necessary treatment interventions to patients with physical functioning disorders and/or wound care, in accordance with regulatory and clinical practice requirements.
• The role involves regular standing and walking throughout the facility and occasional lifting, transferring, and repositioning of patients and equipment. Physical demands vary throughout the day based on patient care needs.
• Administer various procedures as part of the rehabilitation plan, including manual techniques, ambulation, therapeutic exercises, modalities, use of supportive and assistive devices, and wound care.
• Provide consultation and counseling to patients, families, caregivers, and other service providers regarding physical disorders.
• Generate comprehensive discharge summaries of services provided, ensuring compliance with regulatory and clinical requirements.

Qualifications
