Job summary

Santa Clarita Post-Acute in Newhall is seeking a per diem Speech Language Pathologist to evaluate and treat residents with communication and swallowing disorders to help them improve their quality of life and functional abilities.

You will conduct assessments, create individualized plans, deliver articulation, language, cognitive-communication and swallowing therapy, document progress, and collaborate with physicians, nurses, and therapists while educating residents and families.

Qualifications

  • Current license to practice as a Speech Language Pathologist in the state of employment.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in a skilled nursing facility.
  • Knowledge of current speech therapy practice standards and regulations.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Proficient in using electronic medical records and other healthcare software.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of speech therapy services provided.
  • Participate in team meetings, in-service education, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain current knowledge of speech therapy practice and relevant regulations.

Join our team at Santa Clarita Post-Acute, a leading skilled nursing facility in Newhall.

We are seeking a per diem Speech Language Pathologist to join our growing team. As the Speech Language Pathologist, you will be responsible for evaluating and treating residents with communication and swallowing disorders to help them improve their quality of life and functional abilities.

Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate residents' communication and swallowing abilities using standardized assessments
