Jabbergym is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist to provide school-based therapy in K-12 settings in Lucerne Valley, CA. The role involves assessments, treatment planning, and direct therapy, collaborating with teachers and families to maximize student outcomes.

We offer a salary-based model with 10 months of work but 12 months pay, generous bonuses, CEU reimbursements, licenses, full benefits, and mentorship for new grads in a growth-oriented environment.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders is required.
  • Clear DOJ/FBI Livescan background check and eligible to work in the US.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

Responsibilities

  • Assessments & Evaluations: conduct formalized assessments to determine educational eligibility and level of functioning.
  • Develop and maintain compliant IEPs and participate in multidisciplinary teams.
  • Create and coordinate treatment plans with interdisciplinary team members to ensure educational benefit.
  • Consult with families to maximize generalization of target skills and supervise SLPA where applicable.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and therapy notes.

About the Role:

Provide speech and language therapy services to students in K-12 school settings. You’ll conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and deliver direct therapy to help students improve communication skills and access their education. This role collaborates closely with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to maximize student outcomes.

Speech Language Pathologist Key Responsibilities:


  • Assessments & Evaluations: Conduct compliant, formalized and dynamic assessments to determine educational eligibility/level of functioning. Complete observations and evaluations, and manage annual and triennial reviews. Develop and maintain compliant IEPs and participate in multi-disciplinary teams.

  • Treatment Planning: Develop and coordinate treatment plans with interdisciplinary team members to ensure educational benefit.

  • Consultation & Instruction: Consult with team members, including families, to maximize generalization of target skill sets. May oversee and support the Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA), including monitoring supervision hours and promoting ongoing professional development.

  • Data Collection & Documentation: Maintain accurate records of student progress, including therapy notes and assessment data, and use research-based data for monitoring and reporting.

  • Time Off Management for Full-Time School Employees: Employees are encouraged to schedule their time off during school breaks. Time off requests will be reviewed and approved by the supervisor to ensure minimal disruption to normal operations.



Speech-Language Pathologist Qualifications:


  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders

  • Clearances: DOJ/FBI Livescan background check. Must be eligible to work in the US.

  • Skills: Strong organizational, problem-solving, and interpersonal abilities; knowledge of evidence-based practices and special education programs preferred.

  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.



Speech Language Pathologist Physical Demands:


  • Environment: Occasional exposure to dust, pollen, and fumes.

  • Activity: Frequent engagement in tasks such as reaching, handling, standing, walking, and lifting items up to 50 lbs, with or without reasonable accommodations.

  • Sensory: Ability to perform essential job functions with or without assistive devices or accommodations, including working in moderate to high noise levels.
