Qualifications

  • Ability to lift and maneuver patients safely.
  • Strong documentation, communication, and time management skills.

Location: San Antonio, TX

Position Summary

TEAMability is seeking a dedicated and skilled Speech Language Pathologist to provide diagnostic and therapeutic services to children with speech, language, and swallowing disorders. With physician referral, the therapist develops and implements individualized treatment plans to help each child overcome communication barriers and achieve their highest level of independence. This role is essential to delivering high-quality care and collaborating with families and interdisciplinary teams.

Primary Responsibilities
Evaluation and Treatment
  • Perform comprehensive evaluations using standardized testing tools and document results in approved formats.
  • Provide speech therapy for a wide range of speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
  • Monitor equipment for safety and maintain patient well-being during sessions.
  • Document evaluations, progress notes, summaries, and re-evaluations accurately and timely.
Collaboration and Supervision
  • Communicate effectively with physicians, staff, patients, and families regarding progress and needs.
  • Supervise Speech Language Pathology Assistants and students, ensuring compliance with documentation and treatment standards.
  • Participate in team conferences, staff meetings, and contribute to program development.
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines.
  • Educate patients, families, staff, and the public about physical therapy practices.
Qualifications
  • Meets the educational and experience requirements for a Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology granted by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), or
  • Is in the process of accumulating supervised experience required for certification.
  • Minimum of 2 years of pediatric experience preferred.
  • Ability to lift and maneuver patients safely.
  • Strong documentation, communication, and time management skills.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development.
Compensation & Benefits
  • Salary range $83,000 - $104,000 commensurate with experience.
