Job summary

Sholom in the Twin Cities is seeking a part-time Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to assess and treat voice, fluency, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders. You will design, implement and evaluate therapy programs and develop individualized care plans for clients.

Collaborate with the IDT, maintain accurate records, discharge documentation, and support other Rehab duties as needed. Requirements include a Master’s in Speech Pathology (ASHA), CCC-SLP, Minnesota licensure, CPR/First Aid,

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree from an ASHA-accredited school in Speech Pathology.
• One or more years of Speech Pathology experience, preferably geriatric.
• CCC-SLP certification and Minnesota licensure in good standing.
• CPR/First Aid certification through Red Cross.
• Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Assess and treat disorders related to voice, fluency, language, cognitive, communication, speech and swallowing.
• Design, implement and evaluate speech therapy programs and individualized care plans.
• Collaborate with the IDT to ensure flow of speech therapy services.
• Provide support and counseling to individuals and families on loss of function.
• Maintain records and discharge documentation; ensure regulatory compliance.

Summary

The Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) assesses and treats individuals with disorders associated with the voice, fluency, language, cognitive, communication, speech and swallowing. This position will design, implement and evaluate speech therapy programming for clients, developing individualized care plans on a case-by-case basis. Collaborate with the IDT (interdisciplinary team) to ensure adequate and appropriate flow of speech therapy services. Provide support and counseling to individuals and families concerning loss of function, and coping with issues as they relate. Maintain accurate records and documentation to ensure compliance with regulatory and organization requirements, completing discharge documentation as directed. Maintain up-to-date programs and techniques to enhance speech therapy services provided. Support various other Rehab responsibilities as needed.

Job Specifications

• Wage: $40.00-$45.00/hour
• Shift: Daytime hours, Monday-Friday, 3-4 hour shifts, flexible with start time
• Hours: Part time, 20 hours/week

Education, Experience And Credentials

• Master’s Degree from a Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) accredited school in Speech Pathology required.
• One or more years’ Speech Pathology experience required, preferably working with a geriatric population.
• Must possess a Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) and maintain certification.
• Must possess license in the State of Minnesota and maintain licensure in good standing.
• CPR/First Aid certified through American Red Cross required.
• Hospice and Medicare Home Care: Possesses a valid driver’s license with good driving record, and proof of valid insurance. Must have reliable transportation.
