Job summary

SpringHealth Behavioral Health & Integrated Care seeks a licensed Speech Language Pathologist to evaluate and treat patients with speech, language, and cognitive disorders. The role involves developing goals, coordinating with BCBA staff, and maintaining documentation in a compliant clinic setting.

Ideal candidates hold a Master’s in Speech Language Pathology, an active state license, BLS/CPR certification, and at least one year of experience.

Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Current, unrestricted Speech Language Pathologist license in the practicing state.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification per state requirements.
  • Minimum of one year of work experience as a Speech Language Pathologist.
  • Knowledge of rehabilitation techniques for complex neurological injury.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and treat patients with speech, language and cognitive disorders.
  • Review patient records for diagnosis, history, precautions & contraindications.
  • Develop measurable goals and treatment plans aligned with patient needs and data in Catalyst.
  • Train ABA staff to support patient-specific SLP goals effectively.
  • Reassess treatment plan effectiveness and adjust goals as needed.
  • Communicate patient progress to treatment team, school, and families as applicable.
  • Maintain and submit evaluation, treatment, discharge and billing documentation per regulations.
  • Adhere to Code of Conduct, HIPAA, compliance programs, and state/federal laws.
  • Attend internal meetings and continuing education to enhance clinical skills.
  • Provide weekly updates to the BCBA regarding goals, progress and barriers.
  • Manage scheduling for all SLP therapy sessions and communicate with clinic staff.

Responsibilities
  • Performs the evaluation and treatment of patients with speech, language and cognitive disorders
  • Reviews patient records for current diagnosis, past medical history, precautions & contraindications
  • Establishes measurable goals and develops treatment plan to move the patient toward his or her maximum level of speech, language and cognitive abilities with a focus on selecting goals that complement/supplement the goals written by the BCBA; manages goals and data tracking in Catalyst application
  • Trains ABA staff on how to accurately and effectively support patient‑specific SLP goals
  • Regularly re‑assesses effectiveness of treatment plan, progress of patient toward goals and the need for modifying goals or treatment
  • Communicates patient’s needs and progress to the treatment team, school, outside service provider, person receiving services, family members, as applicable
  • Maintains and submits evaluation, treatment, discharge and billing documentation in the format and time‑lines required by the Company, facility, funding source, local, state and federal regulations
  • Adheres to standards of the Company's Code of Business Conduct, policies, Health Insurance Portability Accountability Act, Corporate Compliance programs, appropriate professional practice standards and applicable state/federal laws
  • Attends, participates in and/or conducts internal staff development programs and meetings; obtains continuing education as required by company policy and regulations; maintains and enhances clinical practice skills

Qualifications
  • Minimum of Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology from a college or university with accredited Speech Language Pathology program
  • Current, unrestricted license as an Speech Language Pathologist by state in which practicing
  • Current Basic Life Support or cardiopulmonary resuscitation certification in accordance with state regulations
  • A minimum of one year’s work experience as a Speech Language Pathologist
  • Demonstrates knowledge of rehabilitation techniques related to complex neurological injury required
  • Communicates effectively and professionally in verbal and written interactions
  • Demonstrates strong organization skills and attention to detail
