Job summary

Rehab Without Walls Neuro Rehabilitation is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist to deliver 1:1 neuro rehab therapy in a flexible, locally focused schedule. You will address speech, language, cognition, and swallowing in real-world environments to improve independence and quality of life for patients.

Supportive team, evidence-based care, and opportunities for professional autonomy are offered as you work with neuro-focused caseloads in a community setting.

Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree from an accredited Speech Language Pathology program.
  • Valid Speech Language Pathology license in the state(s) of practice.
  • Current CPR Certification.
  • At least one year of work experience as an SLP.
  • Knowledge of rehabilitation techniques for complex neurological injury preferred.
  • Effective verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

  • Perform evaluations and develop treatment plans for speech, language, cognitive and swallowing disorders.
  • Regularly reassess treatment effectiveness; attend staffing meetings and family conferences.
  • Perform discharge evaluations and provide home and community safety resources.
  • Communicate patient needs and progress to the treatment team and family.
  • Collaborate with other disciplines to enhance patient outcomes.

We’re looking for a Speech-Language Pathologist who believes the most meaningful therapy happens beyond the clinic—in the real-life environments where communication, cognition, and confidence are rebuilt.

You’ll support individuals with neurological diagnoses as they improve speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing skills. Responsibilities
What you will do
  • Perform evaluations and develop treatment plans of patients with speech, language, cognitive and swallowing disorders
  • Regularly re-assess effectiveness of treatment plans, attend staffing meetings and family conferences
  • Perform discharge evaluations, make appropriate recommendations for home and community safety, and provide referral and education resources
  • Communicate patient’s needs and progress to the treatment team, physician, person receiving services and family members
  • Communicates with other disciplines to ensure collaboration, coordination of care and enhance patient outcomes
Qualifications
What you will need
  • Minimum of a Master’s Degree from an accredited Speech Language Pathology program
  • Valid Speech Language Pathology license in the state(s) of practice
  • Current CPR Certification
  • A minimum of one year’s work experience as a Speech Language Pathologist
  • Demonstrates knowledge of rehabilitation techniques related to complex neurological injury preferred
  • Communicates effectively and professionally in verbal and written interactions
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds
  • Moving, lifting, or transferring of patients which may involve lifting of up to 100 pounds following safety procedures
  • Duties require fine motor skills ,visual acuity, and walking/ standing for extended periods
  • Additional physical requirements include:pushing/pulling, bending/stooping, reaching, kneeling, and positioning frequently at times
  • A health screen or examination may be required prior to assignment and periodically thereafter, depending on specific location policy, local and state regulations to verify employee is physically capable of performing assigned duties with or without reasonable accommodations
