Job summary

Visiting Rehab and Nursing Services is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) for Home Care in Pittsfield, MA. This per diem role offers increased skilled visit rates and mileage reimbursement, with flexible scheduling to fit your life.

Qualifications

  • Massachusetts Speech Language Pathologist license (MA) is required.
  • Minimum of one year of clinical experience in speech-language pathology.
  • Afternoon availability to support home care visits.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate patients’ speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing abilities in home care.
  • Develop and implement personalized treatment plans.
  • Provide therapy for communication disorders and dysphagia management.
  • Conduct cognitive and functional communication training.
  • Educate patients and caregivers on strategies to improve communication and safety.
  • Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams.
  • Complete accurate, timely electronic documentation.

What You'll Do

As a Home Care Speech Language Pathologist, you'll provide individualized, evidence-based care in patients' homes, including:

  • Evaluating patients’ speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing abilities
  • Developing and implementing personalized treatment plans
  • Providing therapy for communication disorders and dysphagia management
  • Conducting cognitive and functional communication training
  • Educating patients and caregivers on strategies to improve communication and safety
  • Collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams
  • Completing accurate, timely electronic documentation
