Visiting Rehab and Nursing Services is seeking a Per Diem Speech Language Pathologist to provide compassionate home health care in the Newton, MA area. You'll evaluate speech, language, cognitive-communication and swallowing abilities, develop and implement personalized treatment plans, manage dysphagia, educate caregivers, and document care

Qualifications

• Current Massachusetts Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) license required.
• Minimum of one year of clinical experience required.
• Afternoon availability required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluating patients' speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing abilities.
• Developing and implementing personalized treatment plans.
• Providing therapy for communication disorders and dysphagia management.
• Conducting cognitive and functional communication training.
• Educating patients and caregivers on strategies to improve communication and safety.
• Collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams.
• Completing accurate, timely electronic documentation.

As a Home Care Speech Language Pathologist, you'll provide individualized, evidence-based care in patients' homes, including:

• Evaluating patients' speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing abilities
• Developing and implementing personalized treatment plans
• Providing therapy for communication disorders and dysphagia management
• Conducting cognitive and functional communication training
• Educating patients and caregivers on strategies to improve communication and safety
