Job Title: Speech Language Pathologist- two positions available

Reports To: Superintendent/ Special Education Director
Classification: Certified

FLSA Status: Exempt

Bargaining Unit: CEA

Salary Range: $52,000-$97,000 (depending on experience and the results of current negotiations with the bargaining unit)

Start Date: August 24, 2026

GENERAL DUTIES

Screen, evaluate and identify eligible students for speech and language services; design and implement appropriate intervention strategies; collect student performance data and establish and maintain a daily schedule. Provide information relative to communication disorders to students, parents, teachers and significant others.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

A. A license by the Oregon Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology; or a license issued by the Teacher Standards and Practice Commission (TSPC) prior to July 1, 2016, and

• Hold a Certificate of Clinical Competency (CCC) from the American Speech and
  Hearing Association (ASHA); or
  Has completed the equivalent educational requirements and work experience
  necessary for the certificate; or
  Has completed the academic program and is acquiring supervised work experience to
  qualify for the certificate

B. A Master's Degree in Speech and Language, Speech-Language Pathology, or Communication Disorders
C. A valid driver's license and reliable transportation for on the job travel
D. The ability to follow oral and written instructions
E. The ability to effectively work and communicate with students, parents, and school personnel
from diverse cultures and/or backgrounds
F. The ability to work harmoniously with others
G. Proficient oral and written communication skills in English
H. Proficient in use of computer and Internet based applications, including but not limited to email
and systems applications
I. The ability to learn new automated systems as they are brought online by the District
J. Certificate of Clinical Competence or Clinical Fellowship Year candidate
K. Maintain integrity of confidential information relating to students, staff, or district patrons

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

A. Cultivate and model a respectful working and learning environment
B. Annually pass the District's required online training by the District's assigned due-date
C. Follow site and/or District protocol for reporting absences
D. Maintain current licenses and/or certificates required for the position
E. Utilize the District's electronic systems and applications related to the job
F. Design and implement appropriate intervention strategies, including a broad array of service delivery models including application of technology
G. Provide information relative to communication disorders to students, parents, teachers, and others as appropriate
H. Collaborate with teachers and parents regarding program content and intervention services
I. Collect student performance data and establish and maintain a daily schedule
J. Monitor the effectiveness of the intervention
K. Implement requirements of Federal and State regulations
L. Maintain records and reports required by District, State, and Federal agencies
M. Cooperate with various agencies in referring and providing appropriate reciprocal services
N. Analyze and forecast need for services
O. Provide services either directly or through consultation as listed on the student's IEP
P. Write IEP goals and objectives as necessary for the student on an IEP who requires services from an SLP
Q. Participate as an effective member of the Student Study Team
R. Collect appropriate student performance data for determining the extent to which student IEP goals and objectives are achieved
S. Perform duties and expectations of a Case Manager
T. Partner and collaborate with teachers and specialists to ensure IEP is implemented
U. Provide instruction and direction to assigned instructional assistants ensuring delivery of
instructional services
V. Maintain all equipment identified in the I.E.P. for students.
