  • Experience in school-based or pediatric settings and familiarity with IEP processes and special education regulations.

Role Description The Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) at Arrow Academy is a full-time, on-site role based in Oklahoma City, OK. The SLP will evaluate students to identify speech, language, and communication needs, and develop individualized treatment plans aligned with educational goals. Daily responsibilities include providing direct therapy services, monitoring progress, documenting interventions, and maintaining accurate records in accordance with school and regulatory requirements. The SLP will collaborate with teachers, school staff, and families to support classroom communication, participate in IEP meetings, and contribute to multidisciplinary problem-solving. Additional responsibilities may include screening students, providing consultation and training to staff, and supporting school-wide initiatives that promote effective communication.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated expertise in Speech Therapy and Speech intervention to support a wide range of student communication needs.
  • Experience working with Communication Disorders, including assessment, diagnosis, and development of individualized treatment plans.
  • Knowledge of Language Disorders and evidence-based strategies to improve receptive and expressive language skills.
  • Competence in managing Dysphagia, including safe swallowing practices and collaboration with medical providers when appropriate.
  • Master’s degree in Speech‑Language Pathology from an accredited program and current state licensure (or eligibility) as a Speech Language Pathologist in Oklahoma.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech‑Language Pathology (CCC‑SLP) from ASHA preferred.
