The Speech & Swallow Center treats inpatients and outpatients with speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders from various diagnoses. We seek a Speech-Language Pathologist to support both adult and pediatric populations.

Role Overview
  1. Perform evaluations, treatment planning, and interventions for patients with communication or swallowing difficulties.
  2. Develop therapeutic treatment and discharge plans maintaining high standards of care.
  3. Provide counseling to patients and families, explaining treatment plans and sharing relevant literature.
  4. Inform patients and peers about community resources and coordinate with family, physicians, nurses, teachers, and agencies.
  5. Stay current with knowledge in Speech Pathology and dysphagia, maintaining professional relationships.
  6. Collaborate with the department to promote continuity, best practices, and program development.
  7. Maintain professional growth and proper documentation in accordance with regulations.
  8. Train speech pathologists and interns.
  9. Communicate with department leadership regarding program needs and compliance.
Key Qualifications
  • New York State Licensure in Speech Pathology.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA.
  • Master’s degree in Speech Pathology plus one-year fellowship or eligible for clinical fellowship.
Core Skills

Experience and interest in oncology patient care, including adult and pediatric evaluations, dysphagia management, voice disorders, instrumental assessments (Videofluoroscopy, FEES, Videostroboscopy), and managing diverse caseloads.

Additional Information
  • Location: Main Hospital Campus, NYC.
  • Schedule: Monday - Friday, 9 am - 5 pm.
  • Reporting to: Manager, Speech Pathology.
Pay Range

$90,700 - $145,300 annually.
