Job summary

Hubbard & Tennyson Speech/Language Consultants in New Orleans, LA seeks a Speech-Language Pathologist for an on-site contract role serving pediatric clients in schools and a clinic setting.

You will evaluate, treat, and document therapy for children with communication and feeding/swallowing needs, using standardized and informal assessments and evidence-based treatment plans, while collaborating with families, educators, and other professionals to ensure functional progress.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology with current state licensure (or eligibility) as an SLP in Louisiana
• Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred
• Experience in school-based and/or pediatric outpatient settings is beneficial

Hubbard & Tennyson Speech/Language Consultants is a collaborative team of Speech Language Pathologists and Speech/Language Assistants serving the pediatric population in the local community. The practice focuses on addressing a wide range of communication and feeding/swallowing needs for children. Services are provided both within local schools and in an outpatient clinic setting, allowing for continuity of care across environments. Team members work closely with families, educators, and other professionals to support functional, meaningful progress for each child.

Role Description

The Speech Language Pathologist is a contract, on-site role based in New Orleans, LA. Day-to-day responsibilities include evaluating and treating pediatric clients with communication and feeding/swallowing needs in school and clinic settings. The role involves conducting standardized and informal assessments, developing individualized treatment plans, and delivering evidence-based therapy. The Speech Language Pathologist will document session notes, collaborate with caregivers and school staff, participate in team meetings, and provide education to families to support carryover of skills across home and school environments.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated skills in Speech Therapy and the assessment and treatment of Speech sound disorders
• Experience working with Communication Disorders and Language Disorders in pediatric populations
• Knowledge and clinical skills related to Dysphagia and pediatric feeding/swallowing intervention
• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology and current state licensure (or eligibility) as an SLP in Louisiana
• Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred
• Experience in school-based and/or pediatric outpatient settings is beneficial
• Strong interpersonal, collaboration, and documentation skills, with the ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams
