Job summary

Montclair Speech Therapy is seeking a full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in Montclair, NJ. CF candidates are welcome, with on-site supervision and a supportive team including a director and clinical supervisor.

The facility offers ST, Feeding, OT, and ABA services across the lifespan in a multi-floor treatment center with sensory and play spaces. Pediatric feeding experience is a plus and growth opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Speech Pathology from an accredited program.
• New Jersey State Speech-Language Pathologist license.

Responsibilities

• Administer diagnostic tests and treatment for speech, language, feeding and swallowing disorders as needed.
• Provide treatment and coordinate scheduling, including makeup appointments and diagnostics.
• Document in electronic medical records for all clients on caseload, including evaluations and progress notes.
• Document all clinical activities thoroughly and timely as required by Montclair Speech Therapy.
• Communicate with staff, parents, and other professionals to provide comprehensive therapeutic programs.
• Participate in staff and program development as needed.
• Department-related travel as requested.
• Keep abreast of current knowledge in the field.

Job description

Montclair Speech Therapy (MST) is looking for a full time SLP. Strong CF candidates are being considered. MST offers ST, Feeding, OT, and ABA services to clients across the lifespan in a state of the art facility comprised of 3 floors of treatment suites, a sensory gym, play room, and snoezelen room. History of evaluating and treating pediatric feeding disorders is a plus. CFs will have a direct on-site supervisor in addition to Directors, Clinical Supervisor, and seasoned colleagues to support their continued learning and clinical growth.

• Minimum of a Master's Degree in Speech Pathology from an accredited college or university
• New Jersey State Speech-Language Pathologist license

Speech Language Pathologist essential responsibilities

• Administer appropriate diagnostic test and treatment for a wide variety of speech, language, feeding and swallowing disorders as necessary
• Provide treatment in accordance with and maintain weekly, including scheduling of makeup appointments and diagnostic evaluation
• Document in electronic medical records for all clients on caseload including diagnostic evaluations, progress notes, discharges and any other reports as needed
• Document all clinical activities thoroughly, accurately in a timely manner as required by Montclair speech therapy
• Communicate with staff, parents, and other professionals in an effort to provide total therapeutic programs for our clients
• Participate in staff and program development as needed
• Department related travel as requested
• Keep abreast of current knowledge in the field
