Job summary

Onward Education is partnering with a Dakota County, Minnesota school district to hire a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist for the 2026-2027 school year. This full-time, onsite role is based in Dakota County, MN, with a Monday-Friday schedule for the school year.

You will conduct evaluations, develop treatment plans, collaborate with educators, families, and related services, participate in IEP meetings, and ensure IDEA compliance while providing evidence-based services to support student

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Current Minnesota S-L-P license through the Minnesota Department of Health (MDH).
  • Minnesota Board of Teaching credential/licensure for school-based practice, as required.
  • ASHA CCC-SLP is preferred.
  • Clinical Fellows encouraged to apply.
  • Knowledge of IEP processes, special education compliance, and school-based service delivery.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, documentation, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to provide evidence-based speech-language interventions that support educational outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Provide speech-language services to students per IEP goals and educational needs.
  • Conduct evaluations, screenings, and reassessments for eligibility and service planning.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
  • Collaborate with teachers, families, and related service providers.
  • Participate in IEP meetings and education planning.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of services and progress.
  • Support articulation, language, fluency, voice, and social communication needs.
  • Ensure compliance with IDEA and state requirements.

Position Details:
  • Location: Onsite in Dakota County, MN
  • Schedule: Full-Time, Monday-Friday
  • School Year: 2026-2027
Responsibilities:
  • Provide speech-language services to students in accordance with IEP goals and educational needs.
  • Conduct speech-language evaluations, screenings, and reassessments to determine eligibility and service recommendations.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that support students' communication skills in the educational setting.
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, families, and related service providers to support student success.
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to educational planning and goal development.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of services, progress monitoring, evaluations, and compliance requirements.
  • Support students with articulation, language, fluency, voice, social communication, and other speech-language needs.
  • Ensure compliance with IDEA, Minnesota special education requirements, and district policies.
Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Current Minnesota Speech-Language Pathologist license through the Minnesota Department of Health (MDH)
  • Minnesota Board of Teaching credential/licensure for school-based practice, as required
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred
  • Clinical Fellows (CFs) encouraged to apply
  • Knowledge of IEP processes, special education compliance, and school-based service delivery
  • Strong communication, collaboration, documentation, and organizational skills
  • Ability to provide evidence-based speech-language interventions that support educational outcomes
