Job summary

Encompass Health seeks a compassionate Speech Pathologist to deliver specialized speech-language and swallowing services in our inpatient rehabilitation setting. You will evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with communication, cognitive-linguistic, and dysphagia disorders, developing evidence-based, individualized care plans.

You will collaborate closely with an interdisciplinary rehab team to support patient-centric recovery, educate families, and document outcomes.

Qualifications

• Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) eligible for state licensure.
• Clinical expertise in communication, cognitive-linguistic, and swallowing disorders.
• Ability to develop evidenced-based, individualized care plans.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with communication, cognitive-linguistic, and dysphagia disorders.
• Develop evidence-based, individualized care plans for inpatients.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary rehab team to support patient-centered recovery.
• Educate families about diagnosis, prognosis, and home strategies.
• Document outcomes and progress in patient records.
