Job summary

Boomtown Therapy is seeking a skilled Speech-language pathologist to join our team in Katy, Texas, for the 26-27 school year. The role involves conducting assessments, providing direct therapy services, and developing treatment plans for students with speech and language needs. Both part-time and full-time options are available. Ideal candidates will hold a Master’s degree, a current Texas license, and ASHA certification. Benefits include stipends and health insurance.

  • Administer standardized assessments to identify communication disorders.
  • Provide feedback to parents about assessment results.
  • Collaborate to develop individualized education plans (IEPs).
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of assessments.

Job description

Boomtown Therapy is currently seeking a skilled Speech-language pathologist (W2) to join our team of professionals working in the schools for the 26-27 school year. Part-time or Full-time options are available.

Responsibilities
  • Conducting comprehensive assessments for students who are referred for speech and language evaluations in school settings.
  • Provide direct and indirect speech therapy services.
  • Develop and implement individual treatment plans and interventions to improve student's communication skills.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop appropriate strategies and accommodations to support students’ speech and language needs.
  • Administering a variety of standardized assessments to identify communication or language disorders.
  • Providing feedback and recommendations to parents and teachers about the results of the assessments.
  • Collaborating with other members of the education team, including teachers, psychologists, and occupational therapists, to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
  • Maintaining accurate records and documentation of assessments.
Qualifications
  • Master's degree in speech-language pathology from an accredited program.
  • Current Texas state license speech-language pathology.
  • ASHA (American Speech-Language-Hearing Association) Certification.
  • Experience working in school settings and conducting assessments is preferred.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
