The Children’s Place in Kansas City is now hiring for the part-time position of Speech & Language Pathologist.

Are you passionate about early intervention to help the youngest children heal from traumatic events and thrive? The Children’s Place is seeking a dedicated Speech & Language Pathologist to join our Day Treatment team.

What You'll Do
  • Assess children shortly after starting the program and throughout treatment to monitor progress.
  • Provide treatment using individual, group, and/or classroom modalities.
  • Work collaboratively with the treatment team, including the client and family to create an individualized treatment plan.
  • Enhance speech/language services by educating staff and family members on specific ongoing interventions to use with the client.
  • Help to establish optimal treatment services for all clients related to language development, via work with treatment staff and supervisors.
What We’re Looking For
  • Master’s degree in Speech Pathology or Communication Disorders
  • At least two years of experience assessing and treating young children in
    receptive and expressive language skills
  • Missouri licensure in Speech Language Pathology
  • Certification of Clinical Competency from American Speech & Hearing
    Association
