Ampersand Therapy is seeking a part-time Speech-Language Pathologist for a school-based role in Gastonia, NC. You will deliver evidence-based speech and language services to students, develop IEP goals, and collaborate with teachers and families to support carryover of skills.

We welcome both experienced SLPs and Clinical Fellows (CFs) with strong mentorship, competitive hourly pay up to $53, flexible scheduling, and W-2 employment with liability insurance.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or equivalent.
• Licensure from NC Board of Examiners for SLPs and Audiologists (or eligibility).
• Experience with AAC preferred; CFs encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Provide speech-language therapy in a school setting.
• Conduct assessments and write evaluation reports.
• Develop and implement IEP goals and therapy plans.
• Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with school teams.
• Support articulation, language, fluency, and social communication.
• Partner with teachers and families to ensure carryover of skills.
• Maintain timely documentation and compliance records.
• Monitor progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.

What You’ll Do

• Provide speech-language therapy services in a school setting

• Develop and implement IEP goals and therapy plans
• Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with school teams
• Support students with articulation, language, fluency, and social communication
• Partner with teachers and families to support carryover of skills
• Maintain timely documentation, progress notes, and compliance records
• Monitor student progress and adjust treatment plans as needed

What We’re Looking For

• Licensure from the N orth Carolina Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists
• Eligibility for N orth Carolina licensure as a speech-language pathologist through the Department of Public Instruction
• Experienced with AAC
• Master’s Degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders
• Clinical Fellows (CFs) encouraged to apply
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• School-based experience preferred, not required
