Job summary

Nisma Therapy Services in Fairbanks, Alaska is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist specializing in pediatrics to join our warm, clinic- and telehealth-based team. You will evaluate and treat children from toddlers to teens, write goals, and coach families to carry progress into daily life.

The role offers a competitive hourly rate ($50–$55) with a sign-on bonus up to $5,000, flexible scheduling, paid time off, and opportunities for professional mentorship and supporting team collaboration.

Speech-Language Pathologist, Pediatrics | Fairbanks, Alaska

$50–$55/hour · Full time, part time or contract · Up to $5,000 sign-on bonus

A three-year-old with apraxia saying “mama” clearly for the first time. A five-year-old with a language delay who can finally tell his teacher what he needs. A nonverbal second grader getting her first AAC device and using it to crack a joke. Most of our caseload is kids like these, and our waitlist is longer than we’d like.

About Nisma

Nisma Therapy Services is a small therapy practice in Fairbanks. Our founder, Brianna Bates, MS CCC-SLP, started it in 2020 so that therapy wouldn’t feel cold or clinical. Nisma is Arabic for a warm breeze. Brie still treats kids most days, so you’d be working next to an owner who does the same job you do. We see mostly children, plus some adults, in the clinic and through telehealth.

What you’d do

What you need

• Master’s or doctorate in speech-language pathology from a CAA-accredited program
• ASHA CCC-SLP, but clinical fellows ready to start their CF year do not hestiate to reach out
• An Alaska SLP license, or eligibility to get one before you start (temporary licenses are available for CFs and out-of-state SLPs)
• Ability to pass the state fingerprint background check
• Current CPR/First Aid, or willingness to get it after hire
• Comfort with EMR systems and video platforms
• Pediatric experience strongly preferred
