Job summary

Sunny Days of California, Inc. is seeking Speech-Language Pathologists to join our team delivering early intervention services to infants and toddlers in their homes and community settings across California.

Flexible schedules, sign-on bonus, mileage reimbursement, and tech stipend are available, with medical benefits for part-time staff. You will assess and treat using the Parent Coaching Model, follow each child’s IFSP, and work closely with families to foster skills in daily routines while

Qualifications

• California Speech Language Pathology license.
• Pediatric experience in Early Intervention preferred.
• Strong clinical and interpersonal skills.
• Bilingual in Spanish a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct developmental assessments and provide speech therapy services in natural environments.
• Follow IFSP and work with families to develop strategies to reach developmental goals.
• Utilize family-centered parent coaching to build caregiver confidence and skills.
• Provide services in homes, daycares, and community settings; write progress reports.
• Maintain confidentiality of information in compliance with HIPAA and state/federal rules.

Sunny Days of California, Inc. specializes in the area of early intervention, serving children with developmental needs from birth to three years of age. Sunny Days is a nationwide agency and has programs throughout the state of California. Our programs are multidisciplinary, providing occupational, physical, and speech therapy, as well as child development services.

Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct developmental assessments, provide speech therapy services utilizing the Parent Coaching Model (Rush & Sheldon)
• Follow each child’s Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) and work with the family to develop strategies to help each child reach their specific developmental goals
• Utilize the family-centered parent coaching approach to build caregivers’ confidence and skills and to ensure that progress is generalized
• Provide services in the child’s natural environment, in families’ homes, daycare centers and/or other community settings.
• Provide re-assessments and write progress reports (typically bi-annual)
• Maintain confidentiality of information regarding children and families (in accordance with HIPAA and/or State/Federal regulations)

Requirements:

• California Speech Language Pathology license
• Pediatric experience required (Early Intervention experience preferred)
• Strong clinical & interpersonal skills
• Bilingual in Spanish a plus!
