Job summary

Springfield City School District seeks a Speech Language Pathologist for the 2026-27 school year. The district serves about 7,500 Pre-K–12 students with a focus on social-emotional growth and digital learning initiatives.

The role requires an Ohio SLP license (or CFY eligibility), a Master’s degree, and ability to provide direct and consultative speech-language services district-wide. 183 days schedule with full-time contracted status.

• Expertise in identification and implementation of a speech-language therapy program.

Who We Are

The Springfield City School District, home to The John Legend Theatre, is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist for the 2026-27 school year. We are a nationally ranked Division I District serving approximately 7,500 Pre-K through grade 12 students, in a vibrant learning community of 17 state of the art buildings in west-central Ohio. As a Speech Language Pathologist You Are Required To

As a Speech Language Pathologist To Promote Workplace Safety, Employees Are Expected To Exercise Caution And Comply With District Procedures To Reduce Exposure To The Following Situations

• Provide quality therapy to preschool (3-5 years), and/or K-12 programs district wide. This may include home-based instruction
• Provide direct and consultive services to students, teachers, staff and families.
• Maintain complete and accurate therapy records and comply with ETR and IEP timelines.
• Maintain positive interpersonal relationships and believe in teamwork.
• Organize assignments and time without compromising quality of service to achieve maximum student academic performance.
• Continually achieve personal and professional development.

What We Offer

As a Full Time contracted employee, Speech Language Pathologist work 183 days, 8 hours per day per year with a possibility of extended days. Part Time: Hourly position optional

Starting salary is in accordance with the negotiated agreement, increases with experience and education. In addition, Springfield is also able to offer a $3,000 retention compensation to all Speech Language Pathologists.

The Springfield Education Association and the Board of Education are currently working on a new professional agreement. While that is in the works, please refer to the current agreement as to pay and benefits that are in place for the 2025-26 school year.
