Job summary

Onward Education in Hartford County, CT is seeking a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist for an onsite, full-time role. Start ASAP with an end date of 2027-06-11, averaging 35 hours per week.

You will assess and support students’ communication needs across multiple school sites, aligning therapy with educational goals and service plans. The position requires CT SLP licensure and appropriate CT teaching certification, with collaboration across educators and families to reinforce classroom

Qualifications

• Requires CT SLP license and CT teaching certification 061.
• Experience in a school-based setting is required.
• Ability to plan and deliver services across multiple school sites.
• Strong collaboration and documentation skills to support student plans.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate students' communication needs using screenings and formal assessments.
• Develop and deliver student-specific therapy plans aligned to educational goals and services plans.
• Provide direct support for speech, language, fluency, voice, and social communication needs.
• Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to reinforce communication strategies in the classroom.
• Maintain required service documentation and progress records to support compliance and continuity of care.

Qualifications:

• Holds a valid Connecticut teaching certification appropriate for this discipline (061) and CT Department of Public Health SLP License
• Demonstrated experience working in a school-based setting.
• Ability to plan and deliver services across multiple school sites as assigned.
• Strong collaboration and documentation skills to support student plans and school-based teams.
