Job summary

Emerald Nursing & Rehab Columbus is seeking a passionate Speech-Language Pathologist to join our rehab team. Located in Columbus, NE, this part-time role supports residents’ communication, swallowing safety, and quality of life.

You will evaluate and treat disorders, develop individualized plans, collaborate with physicians and staff, and educate residents and families. Flexible scheduling and professional growth are offered.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Current Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license in good standing.
• Experience in skilled nursing, rehabilitation, or geriatric care preferred.
• Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to thrive in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
• Compassionate, resident-centered approach and passion for improving quality of life.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat speech, language, communication, cognitive, and swallowing disorders.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans designed to maximize each resident’s potential.
• Monitor progress and adjust interventions to achieve the best possible outcomes.
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, therapists, and interdisciplinary team members.
• Educate residents, families, and staff on treatment strategies and swallowing safety.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with standards.
