Job summary

Oak-Hill-Manor-Nursing-Home in Ithaca, NY seeks a Speech Language Pathologist to assess residents and provide targeted services within a collaborative therapy program.

You will work with an interdisciplinary team to implement proactive care plans, emphasize empathy and resident privacy, and maintain excellent documentation and timely communication with residents and families.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology required.
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) required or eligible.
• Current NYS license to practice speech-language pathology.
• Experience in skilled nursing facilities and subacute care preferred.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities & Requirements:

Speech Language Pathologist makes assessments and provides appropriate services to help residents improve and/or regain skills as part of a comprehensive therapy regimen. This level of care involves problem solving, working with an interdisciplinary team and implementing a proactive plan of care to maintain the highest level of functioning.

• Position requires a master's degree in Speech Language Pathology with Certificate of Clinical Competence and current NYS license

• Experience in skilled nursing facility and subacute care

• Excellent customer service skills; cheerful and pleasant demeanor
