Job summary

Prime Healthcare's St. Mary's Medical Center in Blue Springs, MO seeks a compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our hospital-based team, providing acute care and inpatient rehabilitation services for adults and children.

The SLP will evaluate and treat speech, language, cognitive-communication, voice, and swallowing disorders, with a strong focus on dysphagia management, bedside swallow evaluations, and collaboration with an interdisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited college with a Bachelor's in Speech Therapy.
• Licensed by the state in Speech-Language Pathology.
• Current BLS for healthcare providers certification upon hire and maintain current.
• MS degree in Speech-Language Pathology is a plus.
• One year of experience with swallow assessment in acute care is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assess and diagnose speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
• Provide therapy to improve articulation, fluency, voice, and language comprehension.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other relevant professionals.

Location: St. Mary's Medical Center- Blue Springs, MO

We are seeking a compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our hospital-based team, providing acute care and inpatient rehabilitation services. The SLP will evaluate and treat speech, language, cognitive-communication, voice, and swallowing (dysphagia) disorders in adult and/or pediatric patients.

This role involves close collaboration with an interdisciplinary medical team, supporting patients with stroke, neurological conditions, TBI, head and neck cancer, and complex medical needs, with a strong focus on dysphagia management, bedside swallow evaluations, and instrumental assessments (MBS/FEES).
