Job description

Description

Part-Time | Afterschool Hours | Asheville Clinic | Asheville, NC

Make Their Afternoons Matter.

At Carolina Pediatric Therapy, we believe every child deserves the opportunity to communicate, connect, and grow—and the right therapist can make all the difference.

Are you an SLP looking for a part-time opportunity that fits your life while allowing you to do meaningful work with children and families? Join our Asheville clinic team and help children build the communication skills they need to participate more confidently in the world around them.

We're looking for a passionate Speech-Language Pathologist who enjoys working with pediatric clients, values collaboration, and wants to make a difference without committing to a full-time schedule.

Bring your expertise. Find your rhythm. Make a difference.
Big Progress Happens in Small Moments.

Imagine a child using a new sound for the first time.

Helping a preschooler find the words to share a story about their day.

Watching a child gain confidence communicating their wants, needs, and ideas.

Celebrating when a family sees a skill from therapy show up in everyday life.

These are the moments that make pediatric speech-language pathology so rewarding. At Carolina Pediatric Therapy, you'll have the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with children and their families while helping communication skills grow through engaging, individualized therapy.

A Clinic Team That Has Your Back.

You'll work in our Asheville clinic, where you can focus on providing quality care while staying connected to a collaborative, interdisciplinary team.

You'll have support from:

  • Your Clinic Lead, available for clinical collaboration and day-to-day support.
  • Your Clinical Director, invested in your professional growth and success.
  • A collaborative team of SLPs, OTs, PTs, Psychology, and Behavioral Health clinicians.
  • Experienced pediatric therapists who enjoy sharing resources, exchanging ideas, and problem-solving together.
  • A culture of learning, where questions are welcomed, growth is encouraged, and your contributions matter.

You can enjoy the independence of leading your own therapy sessions while knowing that a team is there when you need support.

Part-Time Hours. Meaningful Impact.

This position is designed for an SLP who is interested in afterschool clinic hours, making it a great opportunity for someone looking for a part-time role that complements other professional or personal commitments.

Whether you're an experienced clinician looking to add a few afternoons to your schedule, a parent seeking a more flexible work arrangement, or an SLP who simply enjoys the energy of pediatric outpatient therapy, we'd love to connect!

This is a pay-per-visit position, offering compensation based on completed visits rather than a traditional salaried structure.

At Carolina Pediatric Therapy, you'll also have access to opportunities for:

  • Clinical collaboration and consultation
  • Professional development and Learning Collaboratives
  • Interdisciplinary teamwork
  • Clinical resources and efficient documentation systems
  • Opportunities to explore and develop your clinical interests
  • A supportive team that celebrates your successes
What You'll Do

As a Clinic-Based Speech-Language Pathologist, you will:

  • Evaluate and treat pediatric clients with a variety of communication needs.
  • Provide individualized, evidence-informed speech and language therapy in our Asheville clinic.
  • Develop functional, meaningful treatment goals that reflect each child’s needs and family priorities.
  • Partner with parents and caregivers to support communication beyond the therapy room.
  • Collaborate with other disciplines to provide coordinated, whole-child care.
  • Maintain timely, accurate clinical documentation.
  • Celebrate progress and help children build confidence in their communication skills.
Requirements
We're Looking for Someone Who:
  • Is passionate about pediatric speech-language therapy.
  • Values child-led, family-centered care.
  • Enjoys building relationships with children and families.
  • Is motivated, dependable, and comfortable working independently.
  • Appreciates collaboration and opportunities to learn from other clinicians.
  • Is interested in a part-time schedule with primarily afterschool availability.
  • Wants to make a meaningful impact while maintaining flexibility.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • North Carolina SLP license or eligibility for NC licensure.
  • ASHA certification or eligibility for certification.
  • Pediatric experience preferred.
  • Bilingual skills are a plus.
  • Feeding or AAC experience is a plus.
Your Expertise. Their Growing Confidence.

At Carolina Pediatric Therapy, you don't have to work full-time to make a lasting difference.

You can build meaningful relationships, celebrate important milestones, and help children discover new ways to communicate—all while finding a work schedule that fits your life.

Come spend your afternoons doing work that matters.

Join a team that believes in stronger communicators, empowered families, and helping every child reach their potential.
