About the job Speech Language Pathologist
We are seeking a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to join our school team. The successful candidate will provide speech and language therapy services to students with communication disorders, promoting their academic success and social participation.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and assess students' communication skills, identifying strengths and challenges
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to improve students' speech, language, and communication skills
- Provide speech and language therapy sessions to students, focusing on articulation, language, fluency, and voice disorders
- Collaborate with teachers and other school staff to integrate speech-language pathology into the educational environment
- Develop and implement augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) systems as needed
- Educate parents and caregivers on strategies to support their child's communication development
- Monitor students' progress and report findings to educators, parents, and other relevant parties
Workload & Caseload Details
- All grade levels available - Preschool through high school
- Flexible service delivery model - 3 weeks of direct service, 1 week or indirect
- Workload weighted on severity of needs and amount of work to support them - 55 - Caseload of about 45 is typical
- Could potentially cover 2 schools
Qualifications
- All SPED Teachers will need at least 2 years of SPED Teaching experience
Shift & Compensation
- Shift: Days [full-time, 35hrs]
- $100 gas incentive (one time)
- Duration: 12 weeks
