Job summary

NHS Scotland is seeking Speech and Language Therapists (SLT) to join our Dundee teams in a rotational Band 5 post. You will work across Royal Victoria Hospital and Ninewells Hospital, gaining experience in acute stroke, rehabilitation, and outpatient services within a supportive team.

HCPC registered therapists will benefit from Flying Start Programme support, RSCLT competencies, supervision, and a 9-day fortnight option.

Qualifications

• HCPC registration is mandatory.
• SLT role in Dundee with rotations between RVH and Ninewells.
• Band 5 post with Flying Start Programme support.
• RSCLT competencies support and band 5 peer supervision.
• 9 day fortnight flexible pattern available.

We have vacancies for Speech and language Therapists (SLT) to join our teams in Dundee. Our rotational posts offer the opportunity for a Speech & Language Therapist to consolidate their learning and gain experience working within a supportive Adult acquired speech and language therapy service.

The postholders will rotate between the SLT department at Royal Victoria Hospital (RVH) and Ninewells Hospital in Dundee. You will gain experience working within the Hyper Acute Stroke Unit in Ninewells Hospital, the Stroke and Neuro Rehabilitation Unit (SNRU) in RVH and with a generalist outpatient service in Dundee. Assessment, planning and rehabilitation for a range of communication difficulties will be required.

You will join a small, very supportive team of experienced therapists and work closely with our SLT support workers and the wider MDT. Professional development is supported and all newly qualified therapists are supported to complete the Flying Start Programme and to meet the RSCLT competencies. We provide regular supervision sessions including a band 5 peer supervision group. A flexible work pattern of a 9 day fortnight is available.

You must be HCPC registered.
