## Speech and Language Pathology AssistantApplylocations: Pasadena, CAtime type: Part timeposted on: Posted 3 Days Agojob requisition id: R016429**Starting Pay Range**$25.00 - $30.00 - Hourly*Depending on experience***Job Description:****General Summary:**The Speech and Language Pathology Assistant will perform services and consultation with teachers at school sites; provide activities designed to develop language skills and articulation skills including speech production, vocalization and social pragmatics in students with speech/language disorders.**Essential Functions include, but are not limited to the following:\**** Conduct speech-language screenings using a variety of screening tools and techniques.* Follow documented therapy plans.* Documentation of student progress.* Prepare therapy materials for use in pullout small group setting or in classroom setting* Adapt or modify instructional materials as determined by student need and abilities for teacher-use in the classroom.* Consult with general education teachers to co-plan instructional materials or implement strategies.* Consult with general education teachers to co-plan instructional materials or implement strategies* Track performance data using progress monitoring tools and report progress on IEP goals* Communicate progress to parents, teachers and Speech and Language Pathologist in regular meetings, phone conversations and progress notes.* Participate in IEP process; attend meetings when appropriate and attend parent conferences* Collaborates with members of IEP Team, Special Education Team and School site team.**Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:*** Knowledge of child cognitive development and different learning styles* Ability and willingness to implement students’ IEP’s* Effective record keeping and procedures* Speech, language, hearing development, disorders and rehabilitation* Articulation disorders and rehabilitation.
