Job summary

The Montgomery County Intermediate Unit is seeking a Speech & Language Pathologist to work within the Office of Student Services. This itinerant position primarily supports Non-Public schools and School Age K-12 classrooms, requiring travel across Montgomery County, PA.

You will provide direct services, assess students, and consult with parents and professionals. Qualifications include a Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, PA certification/licensure, and the ability to travel; ongoing

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech/Language Pathology is required.
• PA certification and/or licensure in Speech & Language Pathology required.
• Experience with delivering speech services to school-age children preferred.
• Ability to travel throughout Montgomery County, PA with valid driver’s license.
• Background clearances (Police, Child Abuse and FBI Fingerprint) required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct service to students who present a variety of speech and language disorders.
• Evaluate students in the areas of speech and language as needed.
• Consult with parents and other professionals regarding speech and language.

Education

Master's degree in Speech/Language Pathology

• Master's degree in Speech/Language Pathology
• Valid PA certification in Speech & Language Pathology
• Valid PA licensure in Speech & Language Pathologyor eligible for licensure
• Experience with delivering speech services to a variety of school age children is preferred
• Valid Driver's License and ability to travel to locationsthroughout Montgomery County, PA.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Location: The Montgomery County Intermediate Unit is located in Norristown, PA and provides services to students in School Age K-12 and Non-Pub classrooms located throughout Montgomery County, PA. Position will require travel.

Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7.5 hours/day, 10 months (194 days/year)

2026-2027 Salary: Bachelor's, Step 1: $55,194/year
Master's, Step 1: $66,508/year

*Placement on salary schedule based on experience and/or education beyond the Master's Degree.
