Job Description

Job Summary:
The Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) will assess needs, plan strategies, and deliver evidence-based supports to students with communicative disabilities across various educational settings, including general and special education classrooms, specialized schools, and community settings. Responsibilities include assessment and intervention in speech sound disorders, voice, language, pragmatics, fluency, literacy, augmentative and alternative communication (AAC), and dysphagia. Candidates should possess strong interpersonal and organizational skills. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.

Essential Functions
  • Knowledge of assessment strategies and analysis skills
  • Develop Individual Educational Plans (IEPs) compliant with regulations
  • Collect and analyze data for progress monitoring
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary colleagues on initiatives
  • Maintain high organization and time management skills
  • Deliver services strategically to students

Supervisory Responsibility: None.

Work Environment: Moderate noise level; accommodations available for individuals with disabilities.

Physical Demands: Regular sitting, use of hands, walking, reaching, talking, hearing; ability to lift up to 25 pounds; vision abilities required.

Position Details

Type: Full-time, 193-day itinerant position across Bucks County, with hours dependent on assignment. Travel is required and reimbursed.

Credentials
  • Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Pennsylvania Dept. of Education Certificate in Speech-Language Impaired PK-12
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
  • PA License (preferred)
  • CFY candidates considered for LTS positions
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Understanding of PA and Federal Special Education Regulations
  • Support for diverse communicative needs
  • Effective communication skills
  • Knowledge of AAC and computer technology
  • Compliance with health, safety, confidentiality standards

Work authorization in the US required.
