Job Description

The E. Ethel Little Elementary School is seeking a Speech and Language Pathologist Long-Term Substitute, tentatively from September 1, 2026 through January 4, 2027. North Reading Public Schools is actively looking to build a diverse workforce to ensure all students feel welcome, safe, and valued for who they are and supported to reach their potential.

In this role you will provide direct speech and language instruction in an integrative model in the elementary program for students in grades K-5.

Essential Duties
  • Provide speech therapy services for elementary students in grades K-5
  • Collaborate with school psychologist, teachers, and parents/guardians to implement services as required by IEPs and 504 Plans
  • Provide comprehensive assessments and reports as necessary
  • Other duties as assigned by the Director of Student Services, Building Principal, or designee
Requirements
  • Master's degree in a related field preferred
  • Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education license in Academic: Specialist Teacher – Speech Language and Hearing Disorders
