  • Providing direct instruction to improve speech/sound production, language processing, and social communication (pragmatics).
  • Training students on Augmentative and Alternative Communication devices for non-verbal or minimally verbal learners.
  • Pushing into general education classrooms to help students apply communication skills in real-time.
  • Meeting with families to provide resources and carryover activities for speech goals at home.
  • Medicaid billing: documenting therapy sessions for reimbursement.

DURATION: Immediately – June 11, 2027 (projected last day of school 2026-2027)

Salary: Based on Teacher Contract

REQUIREMENTS:

Connecticut Certification as a Speech and Language Pathologist (061)

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Administering and interpreting formal assessments to determine eligibility for special education services. Observing students in the classroom setting to assess how communication impacts their social and
