Job summary

Gem Prep seeks a passionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or CF to deliver high-quality, data-informed interventions that help students communicate, learn, and thrive. You will collaborate with the Student Support Services team to evaluate needs and design evidence-based plans supporting IEP goals.

The ideal candidate holds a Master’s or Doctorate in Speech Pathology, an active Idaho SLP license, and a commitment to serving diverse student populations with a collaborative mindset.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Student Support Services team to evaluate students’ speech and language strengths and needs.
  • Design and implement effective, evidence-based treatment plans aligned with Special Education policies and IEP requirements.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary meetings to interpret evaluation results, contribute recommendations, and support the development of individualized education plans.
  • Provide targeted therapeutic services that support student communication and participation across school environments.
  • Conduct comprehensive Speech and Language evaluations.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation including IEPs, progress reports, and Medicaid billing.
  • Offer professional development, training, or consultation to educators, families, and partnering service providers.
  • Engage in case conferences and team meetings to review student progress and adjust plans as needed.

Position Summary

Gem Prep is seeking a passionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or Clinical Fellow (CF) who brings a “whatever it takes” mindset and a commitment to excellence. In this role, you will deliver high-quality, data-informed interventions that help students communicate, learn, and thrive. The ideal candidate is collaborative, solutions-oriented, and energized by the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in students’ lives.

Key Responsibilities

Qualifications

Required:

  • Graduate degree in Speech Pathology or Communication Disorders (Master’s or Doctorate).
  • Active Idaho Speech-Language Pathology License.
  • Commitment to working with underserved and diverse student populations.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset.

Preferred:

  • Two years of experience (Clinical Fellows encouraged and welcomed to apply).
  • Idaho Pupil Personnel Services (PPS) Certification through the Idaho State Department of Education.
  • Experience working in a public school setting.
  • Flexibility, creativity, and enthusiasm for contributing to a high-performing educational community.
