Job summary

Grand Forks Public Schools in Grand Forks, ND seeks a KnightRider Speech Advisor for a 21-week contract to set up informational meetings with students, arrange travel and tournament schedules, and run practices several days a week. You will prepare speaking materials and coordinate logistics with coaches and administrators.

Previous coaching/teaching experience and ND teaching certification or a strong background in education are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up informational meeting with students.
• Set up a tournament/travel schedule (coordinated with the coach and AD).
• Run regular practices (at least three days a week).
• Prepare speaking materials for students.
• Coordinate travel and transportation (with coach and AD).
• Construct trip sheets for each tournament for administration, students, and parents.
• Supervise weekend tournaments.
• Judge at tournaments.
• Collaborate with high school and middle school coaches for travel.
• Find and select judges for tournaments.
• Complete registration forms.
• Coordinate and host an end of year awards ceremony.

Non-Benefited position.

Essential duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to the following:

1. Set up informational meeting with students.
2. Set up a tournament/travel schedule (this will be coordinated with the coach and your AD)
3. Run regular practices (at least three days a week, but every day works better for students)
4. Prepare speaking materials for students.
5. Coordinate travel and transportation (coordinated with the coach and your AD)
6. Construct “trip sheets” for each tournament for administration, students, and parents.
7. Supervise weekend tournaments.
8. Judge at tournaments.
9. Collaborate with high school and middle school coaches for travel.
10. Find and select judges for tournaments.
11. Complete registration forms.
12. Coordinate and host an end of year awards ceremony.
13. Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
