POSITION: Head Speech Coach

LOCATION: Stillwater Area High School

PURPOSE OF THE ACTIVITY: To prepare students for competitions and performances. Develop lesson plans and training sessions to enhance students' speech skills. Provide constructive feedback to students to improve their performance

QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE JOB:

• Connection to a high school community
• Communicate with high school students
• Be supportive to high school students
• Education degree and/or counseling
• Previous speech coaching experience preferred

IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR:Activities Director/Building Principal

GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
A. Planning and leading practice sessions
B. Creating strategies to prepare/lead students for competitions
C. Provide feedback and coaching at practices/competitions
D. Follow District #834 Code of Ethics for Advisors.

LENGTH OF ACTIVITIY: Weeks: 18 (16 hours per week)
After School- As assigned by the head speech coach

PUBLIC PERFORMANCE: Scheduled competitions

SALARY (POINTS): Co-curricular coaching contract
