Responsibilities

• Assist classroom teacher(s) in performing duties and tasks.
• Assist in providing individual and small-group instruction.
• Establish and maintain standards of student behavior.
• Prepare instructional materials and read to students.
• Create a learning environment conducive to student growth.
• Plan daily and long-range lessons and activities.
• Conduct learning exercises with small groups.
• Alert the teacher to special needs of students.
• Provide escort and assistance to children as needed.
• Maintain records for each student.
• Collect and display educational materials.
