Eagle Ridge Academy is expanding and is opening ERA Site #2 in Brooklyn Center, MN. We are hiring a Special Education Teacher for K-4 with a 0.5-1.0 FTE and 186 days to start fall 2026.

The selected candidate will develop lesson plans, provide individualized and small group instruction, collaborate with teachers, maintain IEP records, and communicate with families. A Bachelor's degree and MN teaching license are required, with a comprehensive benefits package.

Eagle Ridge Academy is planning to expand its programming and will be opening a new Elementary August of 2026.We are currently recruiting teaching staff for fall 2026 for our new site (ERA Site #2) located in Brooklyn Center, MN.

Eagle Ridge Academy is a Tuition-Free Classical, College-Preparatory Charter School serving students and families in grades K-12. Eagle Ridge offers an academically rigorous education that uses a time-tested, Classical, liberal arts curriculum. Eagle Ridge Academy seeks a well-spoken individual with a gift for teaching who is passionate about the mission, philosophy, and pedagogy of Eagle Ridge Academy. Qualified applicants will have the ability to develop positive rapport with students, parents, and colleagues. They will have knowledge of particular learning styles along with the skill to meet the academic, social, and emotional growth needs of students.

About the Special Education Department at Eagle Ridge Academy:

Responsibilities:

• Develops lesson plans and instructional materials and provides individualized and small group instruction
• Collaborates with classroom teachers to adapt materials and curriculum to meet the needs of students with varying backgrounds, learning styles, and special needs while preserving confidentiality.
• Maintains accurate and complete student records including due process requirements for IEP's, ongoing data collection tools and grades when appropriate
• Provides feedback and guidance to paraprofessionals as needed
• Manage student behavior, which includes developing and implementing classroom rules and expectations, as well as providing appropriate interventions to address behaviors when necessary.
• Communicate with families on a consistent basis on progress towards goals and IEP related concerns.
• Participate in a variety of meetings, which may include parent or guardian conferences, special education briefings, staff and/or committee meetings, staff development sessions, and/or other related meetings.
• Performs other duties of a similar nature or level.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree and applicable MN teaching license.

Salary Range: $48,909-$106,848
