Job summary

The Children’s Guild is growing and we’re looking for a Special Education Teacher who can balance IEPs, creativity, collaboration, and the occasional classroom curveball with purpose and heart.

This 10-month, full-time salaried role in Brooklyn, MD includes a 10-month schedule with no nights or weekends, health/dental/vision benefits, a 403(b), PTO + mental health days, professional development, and work that actually makes an impact.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher, experience supporting students with special needs and/or autism, and the patience, creativity, and teamwork that great teaching requires.

Responsibilities

• Create engaging, individualized instruction and support IEP goals
• Use positive behavioral and restorative practices
• Track progress and adjust instruction to meet students where they are
• Collaborate with families, educators, therapists, and support teams
