Job summary

The Stepping Stones Group is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Special Education Teacher to join our full-time school-based team in Carbon & Lehigh County, PA. This role focuses on supporting students with diverse learning, behavioral, and developmental needs and helping them achieve academic and personal success.

As a SPED Teacher, you will collaborate with students, families, educators, and multidisciplinary teams to create individualized learning experiences that foster growth,

Qualifications

Master's degree in Special Education
PA Special Education teaching license
PA Clearances
Knowledge of special education laws/regulations
Experience with students with disabilities preferred
Strong classroom management, communication, and organizational skills
Ability to collaborate effectively with families, educators, and support staff

Responsibilities

Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) based on student needs and goals
Provide specialized instruction to students with a variety of learning, emotional, behavioral, and developmental disabilities
Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies to support academic achievement
Collaborate with general education teachers and related service providers to promote student success
Conduct ongoing assessments and maintain accurate documentation of student performance and progress
Participate in IEP meetings and communicate effectively with families regarding student growth and educational goals
Create and maintain a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment
Implement evidence-based instructional and behavioral strategies to meet diverse student needs
Ensure compliance with district, state, and federal special education requirements
